3.2 Import FASTQs From Local Storage

Steps

  1. Select Data from the left sidebar.
  2. Select Create Folder (upload icon, upper-right corner) to create a new folder for your experiment.
  3. Select your created folder, then select Upload in the upper-right corner.
  4. Upload your FASTQs using one of these methods:
    • Select Files, then choose your individual FASTQ files. Alternatively, drag files from your file explorer into the Upload Data dialog.
    • Select Folders, then choose the folder containing your FASTQs. Alternatively, drag the folder into the Upload Data dialog.
  5. Select Upload.
  6. Monitor upload progress by selecting Uploaded Files (circular progress icon) in the upper-right corner.
  7. After importing, select a folder or file name to view its details. To rename, delete, or perform other actions, select the ellipsis (...) next to the name.

Note

Cloud storage is preferable to local storage as it enables easier implementation of data retention policies. Use a different folder for each experiment.
