5.2 Import Nuclease Manifest File¶
Use this method to enter nuclease manifest data in external software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and then import the completed CSV. For a small number of nuclease mechanisms, entering data manually is usually simpler — see Add Nuclease Data Manually.
Steps¶
- Navigate to your new nuclease manifest.
- Select Export, then Export View as CSV to download the empty manifest and ensure your CSV includes all required columns.
- Open the exported file in your external software.
- Enter the mandatory columns (
nuclease_type,nuclease_mechanism,guide_sequence,pam) and any optional columns required. See the column reference for field descriptions. - Save the CSV file.
- In the BSB INDUCE-seq Analysis Workspace, navigate back to the nuclease manifest.
- Select Import, then Import from File.
- Navigate to the folder containing your experiment data and select Upload Files.
- Select your file and choose Open, or drag the file into the dialog box.
- Select your uploaded file, then select Select.
- Confirm that the CSV column names match the manifest column names in the Workspace.
- Select Submit. The Workspace populates the manifest with your uploaded data.
