9.10 Break Count Frequencies Plot

An interactive plot showing how break counts are distributed across samples in a run. Located at: Secondary_Outputs/Breakcount_Frequencies/

Plot contents

  • Each solid line represents the number of unique breaks at a given break-class frequency for one sample.
  • A dashed line represents the expected break distribution if breaks were distributed completely randomly (no biological context). This serves as a baseline for comparison.

Interpreting the plot

Sufficient sampling is indicated when breaks in higher-frequency classes occur at higher counts than in the randomly distributed equivalent. This confirms that biologically recurrent break sites are being captured above background noise.
